The Social Policy Institute strives to empower a new generation of social policy researchers, advocates, and leaders, supporting students and current professionals in the field. A key priority of the Institute is to provide opportunities for developing critical skills toward advancing effective social policy solutions.

Who we work with

The Training and Education team supports both classroom-based opportunities and publicly available programming and resources. In addition to formal academic curriculum support, we provide extracurricular programming that enables students to build connections, develop practical skills, and learn from current leaders “on the ground.”  We are also committed to developing meaningful collaborations with social sector leaders in their work through the development of open programming and resources..

“I plan to use my skills and knowledge gained to design policies and programs aimed at ending gender-based poverty in Ghana and West Africa.”

Policy education and training opportunities are designed to increase knowledge, skills, and efficacy that can be applied in a wide range of settings throughout the policy process.
