Assistant Director, Metropolitan St. Louis Equal Housing and Opportunity Council

Elisabeth Risch is the Assistant Director of Equal Opportunity and Housing Council (EHOC). She joined EHOC  in 2009 as a full-time volunteer through the Mennonite Voluntary Service and subsequently became a full-time employee. She oversees EHOC’s education and outreach activities, and works on policy advocacy and research on fair housing and fair lending issues. She helped found and is the Co-Chair of the St. Louis Equal Housing and Community Reinvestment Alliance (SLEHCRA), a coalition working with banks to increase investment in low- and moderate-income communities and in communities of color. She graduated from Calvin College, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with a B.A. in Sociology and International Development Studies and completed her M.S.W. at Washington University in St Louis Brown School of Social Work, where she concentrated on policy and social and economic development. She is on the board of directors for the National Community Reinvestment Coalition.
