Dan Zhao

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Dan Zhao is a Postdoctoral Research Associate with a joint assignment at the Social Policy Institute and the Olin Business School Finance Department. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Economics at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He also earned a B.B.A. in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management with a minor in Mathematics from the College of Business at the City University of Hong Kong.

At SPI, he will be working on several financial initiatives, including the Refund to Savings initiative and the Equifax data project. He has a particular interest in exploring the impact of uncertainty generated by the natural environment on financial decision-making. He is interested in interdisciplinary research collaborations that will enable him to capitalize on his expertise and experience.
