Cao Fang

Research Assistant

Cao Fang is a first-year Ph.D. student at the Brown School. She was born and raised in Chongqing, a city in Southwest China. She received her bachelor’s degree in ethnology from Minzu University in Beijing in 2013. She received her Master of Social Work from Peking University in 2016 and the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2017. After graduating, she went back to Beijing and worked as a behavioral therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Both her practices and research interests have been with this population since the beginning of her social work journey. Her research focuses include family affected by children’s developmental disorders or mental health issues, especially ASD and ADHD, mental health service for children and family with special needs, service delivery, and evaluation.
